This is 25-year-old Jessica Beinecke, an American Journalist for Voice of America, a traveling and news show about America aimed for Chinese viewers. She hosts/writes/produces the popular web show “OMG!Meiyu!” or “OMG! American English”. Each segment is focused on a theme of American slang and aims at the hungry pop-cultured youth of China. Not only is she fluent in Mandarin, she has the look of what Chinese people think Americans look like! This peppy, Ohio native has been studying Mandarin for five years and even though it’s not so perfect, Beinecke has the chance to connect with her adoring fans and really help those who want to understand American slang. Isn’t that cool?!
